Counter-Strike

I hate Counter-Strike. For some reason, after talking about FPSs with Jaysen for a while, I decide to install it and try it. There’s a training mode so I went with that. After walking to a room, I’m instructed to walk to the hostage and have him follow me to a truck. Okay, I can do that. Then I’m told to walk down a corridor. Check. Then, I’m to buy an SMG and some Primary Ammo before entering the next room. I swear that I bought that shit, but it wouldn’t let me through. I must have spun around in that little room for five minutes before giving up. I bought the damn stuff, what more did it want? Fucking door wouldn’t open.
I hate Counter-Strike.
Hurry up Jaysen, get Q3:TA!

Serious Sam: Second Edition, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Far Cry….
    …no, I don’t think so.

Drac, are you on some crack? No offense to the games you play, THEY SUCK. CS, Quake, Diablo, etc. are way better games than that. And, come on, with a name like Far Cry, you have to be kidding me.

Drac, are you on crack? You’re telling me that Serious Sam: Second Edition, Unreal Tournament 2004, and Far Cry are better than games like CS, Quake, Diablo, etc.? Please. With a name like Far Cry, you can’t get any worse.

I like how quickly this post went to shit.
You’ll probably still hate the game, Peter, but you should comment on the game mechanics in addition to a bug in the game’s tutorial.
I haven’t played TA – but how is it any better than the new junk UT2004? Also, Serious Sam: SE was released two years ago – by this point, the reason people play it is the fun factor, rather than to be cool. And I tend to agree about the fun factor.
I haven’t played Far Cry to comment, but not quite sure why “With a name like Far Cry” is a valid argument. So I’ll just ignore all three of his/her posts.

I wasn’t reviewing Counter-Strike; I was just mentioning how much I hate the game. It’s supplemental to my previous I-Hate-Counter-Strike story, which not all of you know.
I don’t know anything about SS:SE, but I don’t expect TA to be better UT2004. I look forward to playing UT2004. And I have no idea what Far Cry… by John Woo is, but I know exactly what Far Cry you meant you play.
Chris, it still seems to me that you jump around playing whatever’s new. Obviously, I think the games that I play are better. That’s why I play them. GunBound is insanely fun and has a lot of people playing it. The most important part of a game in my opinion is the social interaction. I don’t know how GunBound will end in my mind because I’ve only been playing it for under two weeks. Ragnarok Online, Shattered Galaxy, Graal Online, Diablo 2, Diablo, and TetriNET are some of the greatest games. Your games don’t seem to come close to them in my mind. You did well by giving me Worms 3D though. I doubt it’ll raise to the level of the games previously mentioned in my mind, but it’s a lot of fun. It’d be better if I knew a lot of people who played it though.
I don’t look forward to Q3:TA not because I like the game but because I like Jaysen. I want to play something with him, and he’s been playing Q3:A lately.
Just to let you know Chris, in your first comment you said that I play the wrong games. I had no idea what games you were referring to because this post didn’t even talk about the games I like playing. I just that you play the wrong games because I like to argue. Of course, everybody plays the right games to himself or herself.
TU Fan #1 and Someone posted at different times, but “they” posted roughly the same message…
While I’m thinking about it, we need to play Worms 3D sometime Chris. And I urge you to prove your gaming choices to me by giving me some new games to play with you even if I don’t consider your game choices as highly as I consider your music choices (which is very good).
On a final note, I do believe that RO is one of the greatest games I’ve played. This has more to do with the community and the people I knew in real life who played it than the game itself, but I enjoyed the time I played it hugely. However, I don’t want anyone to confuse my love for the game with Shaun’s relationship to it. There’s a difference between playing a game and letting one’s life fall to pieces because of it. Don’t compare me to him please.

How is that? I heard it was pretty good, but I usually don’t get into big single player games much.
