Will on Partying

“I definitely love how this house totally turned out to be the party house. It’s like we party every night.”
He said that last night, heh.
Patrick and I don’t love it as much…

Weekend

What a fun weekend!
First on Thursday I spent like the whole night at Antonio’s. We watched tv, he ordered pizza, and we just hung out. It was really great to hang out with him again. I hope he’s around more often in the future!
Friday night gemma, Lauren, Matt, Allison, and Rebecca went to the Spectrum to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. We had dinner at CPK and then off to the movie! It was a really fun movie I think. I think some of the scenes could have been more powerful, but oh well. Lauren and her bf wore costumes that she made – Gryffindor robes with scarves, ties, etc. They looked really great. We got home around one and everyone went to sleep except me, gem, and Allison. We considered going to Andy’s party but decided against it. gem couldn’t drive home afterwards and there was partying at my place so we couldn’t crash there. We decided just to hang out at her place. But first we had to drive to Del Taco. After getting back we drank, ate Del Taco, and watched Next all night. Great stuff!
Saturday we worked on some homework and ate food. Allison, gemma, and I decided we wanted to get some Flipz. After heading to Ralph’s we got distracted by brownie mix and ended up making some instead. And Allison made really tasty chicken and potatoes for us. It was great. That night, the three of us decided to go to Nickel Nickel to play! They had so many cool games. I like the ones that you can’t play at home – DDR, a sword game where you actually had to swing something, a drumming game, a piano game… blah so much fun. And the free games are cool too. But by far, the drumming game was my favorite. I have to go play that again some time. After we were done we went home, drank, had jello shots, and watched movies. Yay.
On Sunday we did more homework, ate some rice, and then went to see Goblet of Fire again. The first time we saw it on a digital projector, which was nice, but this time we went to the IMAX with Jon and Gabby. The IMAX makes it like a billion times better. We got really good seats too – the first row after that first section. Gabby kept getting scared though. I can’t believe how easily she scares, lol.
Tonight I’m just playing Super Nintendo. I don’t have any homework due this week, but there’s a lot coming up. Next Thursday the CSE project is due and a concert report. It’s also the day of our music final. Then Friday is our last Classics test. The following Monday is CSE31L and CSE23 finals. Then Wednesday is gem’s 31 final as well as the due date of our final project for 31L. Ah! But Thursday is tasty dinner at my aunt’s house.
Right now Will threw a bit of a party as usual so they’re playing beer pong. It wouldn’t be bad but Patrick goes to sleep a lot earlier than me. He’s a light sleeper so I can’t even be in the room while he’s asleep unless I’m asleep. I can’t blame him, but it sucks when there’s partying here because I don’t really have anywhere to go. I just have to put up with them being stupid, loud, and eating all of our food. This happens most nights. But they’re entertaining I s’pose. Okay bye!

Dream the Other Night

I had an interesting dream the other night. I was at some sort of school / corporation where I studied / worked. It was early in the morning, around dawn, and some friends and I were breaking into a neighboring building / business. We were trying to steal some information, I think. I’m not sure. People began to show up for work there though so we attempted to act like we belonged there and to walk out. It worked. Outside there were a lot of alleys and stairs, but we made it out unnoticed.
After getting back, I hung out for a little bit. Now, I think it’s around this time in the dream that the school / corporation became a magic school / corporation. Like, wizards went there and worked there. Maybe it’s because of Goblet of Fire opening this week. I dunno. But anyways, we were going to go somewhere soon, and the best way to leave the school was by plane. We were waiting to take off for a very long time, but weren’t being given permission. I wanted to find out why so I tried to ask around. A teacher told me to check administration thinking I meant why I personally wasn’t being allowed to, but it was more our plane and the conditions. So I got fed up and went outside for a walk.
Now somewhere in here I was looking for presents at my grandfather’s house. Then he, with my aunt and uncle and me, were driving around on a rickety bridge over a lake. And then I was in the lake. And then I was outside the school again.
I heard this booming voice say “a vision of the future” or something like that, and then I could see some sort of meteor coming. I ran down an alley and into a church. There were a few people in the church with me. Then, after, hearing a loud crash, I went back outside. Everything was burning, and most building were flattened. The school was ruined. The church was the only building that was okay. There were some people that were fucked up looking. Not like hurt or bleeding. Just tweaked.
And then everything went back to normal. Except, even though the other people were still people, they were different. I knew they were out to get me or sometihng. This kind of reminds me of Doom, except they were demons or zombies. Just out to get me or something. So I ran into the school. The farther in I got, the more and more of them there were. I kept running up flights of stairs until I reached the very top. I started to get cornered against a railing. Each floor was like a ring and you could look down the middle and see all the lower floors. It was all open. Except that they weren’t evenly lined up, and there were bridges and walk ways.
Having no where else to go, I jumped off and had to navigate through the air to keep from hitting birdges and other floors. I wanted to keep falling. And I had to avoid the hands of those people. And then I used magic to keep from dying when I hit the bottom.
And that was my dream.
Falling was cool.

PHaSR

Personal Halting and Stimulation Response rifle? A PHaSR rifle? God, that’s funny. There’s an article here if you haven’t heard about it. It really looks like some weapon from a FPS or something.

Science Library Looks Like a Vagina

I heard that the Science Library looks like a vagina.
Anyways, I doubt if WebPageless will really come back anytime soon. I guess this is semi-permanent. Cox blocks all incoming ports entirely. It’s like my computer doesn’t exist on the Internet. In better news, Cox has at least made the speeds go up to normal DSL/cable speeds. I also tried using the AntWeb. To set that up, I had to learn how to VPN into the school. But after setting it up, I found that pages on it are only accessible to people on the UCI network.
I gave up the Start Menu and Explorer a long time ago (about a year now). But I had used Black Box menus or BBIcons. Well, I gave it all up in trade for Google Desktop Search. I works really well. I use it to launch all my applications and everything. Good program. Good organization, that Google. I loves them.
My Palm Tungsten C died completely today. The screen is totally fucked up. Like Chopsticks. That really sucks. I kinda depend on it. I’m gonna sync to my dad’s Palm to at least get my financing info off of it.
I got about a standard deviation above the mean on the CSE 21 midterm. Did well on both projects. My Kalah AI was the best in the class. The average on my CSE 31L midterm was 54%. I got 97%. I’ve aced all my 31L labs, and have done well in Classics. Turned in a concert report on Tuesday. It went well, I think.
Last weekend was cool. On Friday, gem and I went to LNP. I wore a robe for Halloween and got in early. I never had got in early before. Then we rented Chamber of Secrets and bought Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Saturday we played video games basically. Then gem, Jon, Gabby, Andy and I went to see Nnenna Freelon at the Jazz Bakery in LA. I thought it was a pretty good show. Afterwards we came back to my apartment, drank, and watched the Grudge. Gabby was too scared to watch. She kept hiding. Patrick kept scaring her. It was great. Chris was too talkative during the movie. Andy was a bitch, and we’re never watching a movie that matters with him again. Sunday gem and I worked on our labs. Christine came over, but we didn’t really get to do much. That night, gem, Jon, Gabby, and I went to Knott’s Scary Farm. It was a lot of fun, except Jon and Gabby fought a bit. But Gabby got over her fear of the big rollercoasters – kind of. Anyways, she went on it. And we got on quickly because Jon used a wheelchair.
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a really fun game. I thought the chapters would suck, but they don’t really get in the way of playing.
I finished reading Starship Troopers again. It’s so much better now than when I read it in highschool or junior high. I love Heinlein. And I love that book. Totally awesome.
On Tuesday (I think) I hung out with gem, Allison, and Lauren. It was fun. Afterwards Lauren went home, and the three of us went to Denny’s to eat. Great fun! I love friends.
I hadn’t talked to Kalin in a long time, but I’m chatting with him now. Good ol’ AIM.
My mom’s birthday was the 1st, and Pete’s is the 3rd. Happy birthdays! gem and I went out to dinner with them tonight to an Italian restaurant. I had the rigotoni, and it was great.
gem’s making Gryffindor scarves for us for the Goblet of Fire release.
Tomorrow I have a history of jazz midterm at one. I feel so unprepared. It has nothing to do with computers or math. Ah! But I’ll probably do alright.
