When it comes to films, I like virtually all genres. I care more about the film’s theme and/or style then what actually happens. For instance, my favorite director is Darren Aronofsky simply because I can connect to his characters and his movies really make me think about myself afterwards. I guess if I had to pick a single genre as my favorite I would choose drama. I really enjoy a movie that takes me on an emotional rollercoaster such as Requiem for a Dream (directed by Darren Aronofsky). I also thoroughly enjoyed Firefly and Battlestar Galactica. (That’s the 2003 series. The original 70’s one bored me beyond belief.) I can’t deny that I am a pretty big sci-fi fan though I do hate Star Wars and most of Star Trek. Lately I have been really liking black comedies. Although my favorites change frequently, I would have to say my favorite black comedies right now are Big Nothing, Just Buried, and The Last Supper (1995).
