Gemma's Eberron Campaign
Session 1 (3/10/07) Carj woke up at an inn with Collette, his sort of adopted daughter, sort of little sister. Carj was a ward of the church of the Silver Flame, as is Collette. They asked him to take her from their home, New Cyre, to Sharn. After taking her to the church, he went to a tavern with Myrdin, a monk. They met two warforged nicknamed Pointy and Greatsword, and the four went to House Cannith where they were requested by a man named Jarik to rid some caves of rats.
Session 2 (3/11/07) The four adventurers killed all the rats in the caves and returned to Jarik for their reward. The next day they were requested to meet again with Jarik. He asked the group to prove themselves worthy to work for him more by retrieving his wand for him. A woman borrowed it and wouldn't return it.
Part 2 Myrdin snuck around the house, looking through the woman's windows. Not seeing anything, he and Carj stood guard while Pointy picked the lock. Inside were two pet wolves, but Carj put them to sleep. The group then locked them in the bathroom with some meat. After searching all the rooms, the wand was found upstairs. After retrieving it, the group heard the woman's children come home. Debating what to do, Carj told his friends to walk quickly out the door when they hear him stomp. He went downstairs and managed to get the kids to sit quietly in another room while he held the door shut. He stomped, and the group left quickly.
Part 3 Carj and Greatsword met with Jarik only to find him sitting next to the woman, smiling. She was a friend, and the whole thing was merely a test. Luckily, they passed. Peter leveled up. William leveled up. Edward leveled up.
Session 3 (3/13/07) Meanwhile, Greatsword was preoccupied with his own ordeals. He, a warforged, found himself on a table with a skeleton in the corner. Opening a door, he found himself in some sort of complex filled with undead. He did his best to deal with them, although he only had a sword so he did little damage to them. He held his own for a while but was outnumbered and eventually, it seemed they killed him. He could feel them clawing at him, and he couldn't move, yet the pain started to fade. He closed his eyes, and when he reopened them, he awoke in his room. Antonio leveled up.
Session 4 (3/25/07) Jarik invited the group to a tavern to talk about their next job. He informed them that House Cannith, while appearing whole, was truly split in three. He didn't trust the leader living in Sharn, Merrix. Marrix and his family would be attending a party, and he supplied the group with an invitation to the party. He wanted the group to split up with one part at the party to keep him distracted at the party and the other part going to his house with the keys supplied to investigate anything suspicious while staying inconspicuous. Carj went to the party while Pointy and Myrdin went to Merrix's house. Carj found Merrix and entered a conversation with him, finding him rather pleasant. Merrix informed Carj that he's a collector and likes to buy various art pieces. Carj said that he wasn't a collector, but lied and said that he couldn't help buying pieces he liked from time to time. Merrix seemed pleased with Carj's response but not very happy with the fact that Carj worked for the Church of the Silver Flame, which wasn't entirely true. Meanwhile, Pointy and Myrdin ran into a large cat inside the house that almost killed them. Realizing Carj would be able to put it to sleep, Myrdin ran back to the party and asked for Carj to come out but stupidly called him his lord. Myrdin convinced the woman at the front of the party to let him in while Carj ran back to the house. Carj put the cat to sleep, and Pointy and Carj locked him in a room. After exploring the house and finding various combinations, keys, and locks, they finally got everything opened, with all the levels of locks leading to one final safe. In it they found a ledger and a pin. Not knowing what to look for, but assuming those were something of importance if they were in the safe, Carj and Pointy took the ledger and pin and left the house, heading back to the tavern. While Pointy and Carj were exploring, Myrdin was using his low intelligence to get everyone's attention. He, after a long time, found Merrix. His wife was asking to go home because the kids were getting restless. Myrdin, realizing he needed to do something, tried to entertain the kids. He attempted to balance on one finger, balance on his hands, balance on chairs, walk on his hands, and do various other stupid things. He got a big crowd around him, and Merrix was getting angry. When he was about to get thrown out, he ran away. Everyone found themselves at the tavern at around the same time, but a warforged approached them and attacked them. The group held their own until the warforged was called away. They then went in to talk to Jarik. He wasn't pleased that they took the ledger but seemed interested in the pin.
Session 5 (3/27/07) Carj and Pointy went to their tavern to check the request board. A woman wanted a package picked up from her brother who was in Argonth, the mobile fortress. It would be outside within a week and took six days to travel to. Carj and Pointy bought supplies and set out. They encountered quite a few enemies and got about half way there. Peter leveled up. William leveled up. |
