Gemma came over Tuesday, and we watched Attack of the Clones at my place. Afterwards we went to the Spectrum. We ate a restaurant called Maki Maki. She had chilean sea bass, I had tempura, and we split a platter of sashimi. Very, very tasty. Then walked around a bit, tried the love sacks (big bean bags), and went on the ferris wheel. She had never been on one! It was a lot of fun 🙂
Today my dad was gonna come over. He called me in the morning to say that he couldn’t today but maybe tomorrow. Around one I got a few calls, but I was still sleeping so I rejected them, not recognizing the number. It turned out that he decided to drive here anyways and was calling from a pay phone. The car overheated on the way back so he won’t be coming tomorrow. I wish he hadn’t have done that today.
KOTOR 2 is out, and I’m just finishing KOTOR 1. Anyways, it’s a great game. I found the plot a little slow at the beginning, but it definitely picks up. There were times that I thought the plot was flawed, but I later realized that it was intentional and fine. The gameplay’s excellent. There are a lot of unneeded characters though. Also, I never needed to purchase any equipment. I did play it on normal though, so perhaps I’d need to in hard mode. I enjoyed it far more that any other BioWare game. If I get the chance, I’d like to go back and replay it on the dark side. I recommend playing the game if you’re a Star Wars fan or a fan of D20-based computer games.
Spring break is finally here! So far, Gemma and I watched The Empire Strikes Back (we watched A New Hope before break started), Return of the Jedi, and The Phantom Menace. We’re gonna watch Attack of the Clones today. I’ve been wanting to rewatch all the movies before Revenge of the Sith comes out. I’ve been playing Knights of the Old Republic a lot too. Great game. I know it’s old, but I’ll write more about it later. I spent $40 at Red Lobster with Adam on Sunday. Tasty tasty. I love lobster. Jon Cairns came by yesterday. He locked himself out and threw rocks at Julie’s window to get back in. He had to call Duty Line to unlock his door. I hung out with Julie and Mitch some and then talked to Jon for a while.
Gemma went home on Saturday, but yesterday (Monday), she came back look for an apartment. She stopped by, and we went to Michael’s, Carl’s Jr., and then hung out here. It’s fun to do nothing with her. She’s coming over today (Tuesday) too. We’re gonna watch Attack of the Clones and probably see a movie (Hitch?). I also hope to finish KOTOR, but I don’t know if it’s gonna happen. Wednesday it looks like I’m going to Disneyland with Linh-Nam and Christine. Thursday my dad’s gonna try to visit. Friday I’m hopefully gonna be hanging out with the shindig crew (if I had written that in 1337 it would have been like orgasmic). Okay, time for sleep.
Super Mario Pac is a little PC game made by hermitgames. The graphics are basically from Super Mario World. You have to build a pipe to get out of each level by touching on the piece and then flying over the right spot. You have a FLUDD, the water pack from Super Mario Sunshine, and that’s what you use to shoot enemies and fly around. Fun game! Find it here!
Dan! Da! Dan! in a pretty fun vertical shooter. You can find it at http://nagoya.cool.ne.jp/o_mega/product/ddd.html. The site’s not in English, but it’s not hard to figure out.
Alex came over last Wednesday and stayed until Saturday. It was good to see him again… it had been a while. Amazing how many people I used to know that I don’t get to anymore. We had fun though. A bunch of us played Cranium one night. It was me, Gem, Jon, and Gabby against Alex, Patrick, Vince, and Kim. We won, and it was a lot of fun. Afterwards we just played around doing cards or improv games. It was cool 🙂 I tried playing LOTR Risk with Alex and Andy but we gave up. One night we did some drinking. Later I was a fairy. Make up. Wings. I don’t know. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them from Alex. And… yeah! Fun times!
As of the 11th, I’d been with Gem for five months. ^_^ I didn’t post at the time, but she gave me a journal, and she has a matching one. It was sweet of her 🙂 I’m really glad to be with her. Almost half a year!

Mmm… chili. Do you love chili? I love chili! Well Dev Shad has made a site about making chili. I’ve ate his chili, and believe me, it’s wonderful! You can find his site at this site. Yay!
Fucked up a little.

I had a dream last night that the Earth was under attack by a fleet of ships that resembled Star Destroyers. In the dream they were Star Destoryers, but they weren’t as strong as the actual (er… fictional?) ones. I was a pilot flying a small ship outside of the atmosphere, and I was fighting the fleet. Later, I was back on Earth at a school, I think, but it appeared to be mostly social (as is real school, I suppose). Most people on Earth didn’t know what the attacking fleet because there was a large government cover up, although it was pretty obvious that something was going on (hell, people could see it). A man showed up with a woman. The man was a high official of the enemy and threatened me. The woman had a nasty tongue but didn’t actually do anything. There was a small fight, and he threatened to hurt some woman who was with me that I cared about. I think she was my sister. The two enemies left, and I admitted to the people in the area about the truth of the starting war.

On Friday Gemma had some laundry in my room. We went to see Live Nudes and then eat. I realized I had locked myself out, so we went back to her place. I got my replacement key on Saturday but hadn’t given Gem back her laundry. That night I went out with Will and Patrick to see Ong-Bak. Gem came over and wanted to hang out at Evenstar a little. I left my room open for her. She also told me she wanted to cook me dinner. When I got back, she told me to come straight to the kitchen. She cooked a shrimp stir fry for me that was great =D I found my room full of happy birthday posters and streamers. She and Jackie put them up while I was gone. It was really cool ^_^
When the clock turned midnight and it actually became my birthday, Gem left and returned a few minutes later with a Snickers cake and a bunch of people. They sang, I blew out the candles, and we all hoped the fire alarm wouldn’t go out.
After eating the cake and after everyone left, I closed the door and opened gifts with Gem. She bought me Green Eggs and Ham, Peter Cottontail, a fingerprint art book, and a pair of pajama pants. The pants, unknown to her, were actually for girls. I tried them on anyways and… well… girl pants are made for people without… stuff… in the front. So if you have stuff and you put them on… well, let’s just say the bottom half of my body was pretty clearly defined X_X. So, the pants were a no go. But it’s the thought that counts! Plus it was funny. Everything about the night was so nice. I couldn’t believe that Gem went to so much trouble for me.
On Sunday, my mom brought over a bunch of chocolate cupcakes for me. They were probably the best cupcakes I’d ever eaten. Then, to top it off everything she had already done, Gem paid for me when a bunch of us went to Sumo for dinner. It came to $30 per person, but I paid $8 and Gem paid the rest of mine. She’s so wonderful! I think this was the best birthday I’ve ever had!
An article about the Arcade Operators Union show. And by article, I mean mostly pics of the game girls all dressed up.
Wow, that sucked. I turned it in at 11:58 and didn’t finish commenting. I had a lot of trouble interpreting the instructions. When time came down to, I just grabbed a working bundle of source and turned it in. I had multiple ones, and while some seemed better code-wise, all but one gave different outputs than that on the website.
The one I turned in first checked if customers should be added to the lines and if so, added them. Then, for each window it did the following checked if there was a customer at the window. If so, it processed him or her. If not, it would move someone from the line into the window. I don’t know if it was right or not.
I did, however, become happy with my clock. If I pass around an int to keep track of time, methods could change it. If I make a clock object with a private int to keep track of time, a public method to change the time, and a public method to retrieve the time, any method could still change the time. So, I made a Clock class with the field/methods described above. Then, I made a ClockView interface that was the same except didn’t have the method to change the time. In Simulation, I did the following:
Clock clock = new Clock();
ClockView clockView = clock;
Now, using the clock reference I could change the time. If I pass the clockView reference to other methods, they can view the time but not change it. Yay!
We’ll see how I actually do.
Found an interesting read on how the U.S. government won’t categorize the safety and dangers of cigarettes and how some are safer than others.
