I’m interested in a lot of different hobbies. Some of them, such as blogging, have held my interest for a long time. Other hobbies, like the ukulele, are relatively new. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time with blogging, Argentine Tango, swing dancing, ukulele, French, photography, yoga, and cooking! I have pages for some of my hobbies nested under “Hobbies and Interests” in the menu at the top.
Blogging
I’ve had websites since I was in elementary school. WebPageless has been around since 2000 or so, but its current archive only goes back to 2004. I have two other blogs – Polygons and Pixels and Kor’kron 501st, and I also wrote for Game Boyz and have been published on WoW Insider.
Yoga
I’ve been doing yoga regularly since July 2014 and daily since July 2015. There’s a lot to learn, and I feel like at different periods in my practice I’ve got completely different things out of it.
Dancing
In September of 2015, dancing piqued my interest. Originally Lindy Hop intrigued me, but I haven’t been doing it as much. I’ve been taking classes in Argentine Tango regularly since September and practice daily. Balboa also hooked me in December of 2015, which I also practice daily, even if only for a short while. I’m still a complete beginner in these dances though!
Music
I’ve been practicing ukulele since I got one for Christmas in 2015, but I’m still a novice. In grade school I played clarinet and baritone saxophone.
Photography
Photography has interested me since high school, but I only recently got a DSLR. I might not call myself a photographer, but it’s certainly fun.
You can view some of photos on Flickr.
Languages
I took Spanish for five years in school but don’t remember too much. As of 2016, I’ve been learning French.
Travel and postal exchange
I enjoy travel and trying new things. I also like exchanging handwritten mail, especially with people in other countries.
Interests
I love watching friends perform and supporting them in artistic endeavors. I’m a fan of the local ska scene as well as local improv comedy.
