But I’m not sure why they let him live and walk away, or why the Gurubashi aren’t upset by the Zandalar tribe taking them down.

Sonic Generations


Thanks to Pat for posting this on Facebook and bringing it to my attention. This shows much more than the original teasor trailer. Sonic Generations is a new retail Sonic game recently announced in which you can play as the classic, pudgy Sonic or the modern streamlined Sonic.
In the classic gameplay (the first half of the video), the game is a side-scrolling platformer all about speed and looks like the classic games. The modern Sonic gameplay switches between side-scrolling and the behind-Sonic camera found in games like Sonic and the Secret Rings and the daylight Sonic Unleashed stages. The modern gameplay also features dashes and homing attacks while the classic does not.
Also, it’s noteworthy that in this extended trailer, you see Sonic for the most part keeping his speed. He sometimes must wait for platforms, but it seems like he’s usually able to keep running forward when played correctly. At least Sega realizes what’s the game supposed to be. I hope Sonic Generations is good.

Gemini Rue

Independent publisher Wadjet Eye Games and developer Joshua Nuernberger are announcing a partnership to commercially release Gemini Rue for PC. This retro-style adventure game, which combines creative point and click gameplay with a gripping sci-fi / noir narrative, was an Independent Game Festival Student Showcase winner in 2010. Gemini Rue will release February 24 from http://www.geminirue.com, with preorders starting today.

I think this game looks really fantastic! Usually I’m hesitant to review games for platforms other than the iOS because they’re bigger time sinks, but I had to make an exception. It looks absolutely stunning, and the plot looks engaging as well. Review copies are available in early February, and I’m on the list. Here’s hoping they have enough promotional copies!

The Classifieds: Guild videos are awesome

Rehmaar is the guild master for on Wyrmrest Accord (US-A). The guild is an all-blood elf roleplaying guild, and it’s just getting started in the last few weeks. Rehmaar created this video from soup to nuts to help advertise his guild and get the word out about their themes and goals.

How come my guild doesn’t have a sweet, RP video? Or any RP? This guild looks really fun!
