What have I been playing this week? I played a bunch more Samba de Amigo. I’m getting better at it. The controls still aren’t great, but they’re not terrible. The game’s pretty fun! I’ve also been playing a lot of Kirby Super Star Ultra. It’s still one of the best games ever!

Currently Playing
I was trying to make a post every Monday about what I was playing, but that kind of faded away. I don’t know if I’ll keep up with one a week, but here’s what I’ve been playing lately:
I started and finished Brooktown High (PSP) recently. It’s a dating sim in which you talk to girls, go on dates, study, attend classes, and equip various clothing. Most dating sims I’ve played were only dialog choice games, while this one had a lot of other things to manage as well. It might have been because it was a western game.
I got back into Spore on the day before yesterday as well. The space phase is pretty interesting, but I’m not sure what to do when enemy empires demand money.
Bioshock’s been on my shelf and unplayed for almost a year now. I’m still only a few hours into the game, but I’m enjoying it. It does really stress me out though so I can’t play it for long. I guess that’s good because it draws me into the game. I think I’m too out of shape for video games.
Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars took some of my time. I don’t know if I’ll ever get an A rank. I also played GTA a bit. I think GTA was my favorite game in the series.
Lately I started playing Kirby Super Star Ultra. Funny how such a simple game can please me for so many years. I know it’s not terribly long, but I’m really enjoying it.
Samba de Amigo came out yesterday, and I tried it a little. I haven’t had time to really sit down with it, but it’s pretty cool so far.
Epic Krabys
My Epic Krabys coming to attack gem’s trexi and company. He killed them! 🙁
Look how cute her trexi is too there in the center with the pom-pom!
Game Log
This past week I spent a lot of time on WoW again. The three of us did one final round in the 30-39 PVP bracket at level 40. Shadowform is nice! We also ran all four instances of Scarlet Monastery. I played some Pacman C.E. and beat Guitar Hero 3 in co-op as lead guitar. I’ve been playing some more of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games as well and just a little bit of Rhythm Tengoku Gold!
This Week’s Games
This week I finished up Braid and Guitar Hero Aerosmith by playing through every song. I’ve also been playing through Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on my DS, which is surprisingly fun. We’ve been PVPing of course, and this week we plan on finally hitting 40. I purchased Pacman C.E. (I know; I’m late), and I’m enjoying that as well. Amazing that they could reinvigorate such a classic title. Lastly, I started playing Rhythm Tengoku Gold last night, and it’s awesome! It’s a rhythm game that’s really about sound. I could close my eyes and continue to play. It’s a blast! Hopefully it gets localized.
Playing this week
Most of my time has still been devoted towards PVPing in World of Warcraft. We’re having a good time just staying at 39. I also picked up Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and finished the single player on medium. It’s really cool because it follows this history of the band and includes interviews with the members. Braid came out this week on XBLA, and it’s truly amazing. The art style and music are superb, the puzzle-solving time-manipulating platforming is awesome, the story is intriguing so far, and the nods to other games are nice. I think this game will be really memorable when I finish it. I’ve been playing Baldur’s Gate a little bit too but haven’t progressed too much.
And that’s it for this week!
What I’m Playing
What have I been playing lately? Most of my time has been spent playing World of Warcraft. Devee, my troll priest is now 39, and I’ve been PVPing a lot. I bought every item that I need for my level as well as a couple level 40 pieces. As soon as I get bored of PVPing, I’ll go back to PVE, but for now I’m enjoying it!
The other game I’ve been playing heavily is Overlord, which is very fun. It’s an action adventure game with some RPG elements for Xbox 360 in which you’re an evil overlord and must kill the heroes who killed your predecessor. You have an alignment that can go from evil to eviler, and you control many minions to kill enemies. Very fun.
I’ve also been playing Azure Dreams some, usually during lulls in PVP or when I’m about to sleep. I was putting some time into getting all the secret reports in The World Ends With You, but it began to get to the point where I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to do so I’ve been putting less time into it.
Returning to N+ yesterday, I now only have five more episodes to finish. I also picked up Guitar Hero 3 a bit more. I finished my first hard mode song, and I also got a perfect run of a song for the first time on I Am Murloc in normal mode.
Baldur’s Gate sputtered back to life, and I past the mines. I know that’s not very far, but I’m completed tons of the extra areas already and am higher level than I should be for where I am.
Kirby’s Dream Course
Collin and I just had an epic match of Kirby’s Dream Course! Woo!

Pyro Fortress
Pyro Fortress came out last week! In other words, the Pyro update for Team Fortress 2. With its release, players were obligated to play only as pyros with epic, flaming battles!
The Pyro’s achievements were much more easily attainable than the Medic’s, and they were actually things you might want to do as Pyro as opposed to the Medic’s achievements that required you to do things a Medic shouldn’t do. The three new weapons are the backburner, the flare gun, and the axtinguisher. The backburner replaces the flamethrower, adding health and always scoring crits from behind. However, it doesn’t have the airblast that the flamethrower now has, which can repel enemy rockets and grenades. The flare gun can light enemies on fire from a distance. Lastly, the axtinguisher is a melee weapon that scores crits always on enemies that are on fire. You also no longer need to get all the achievements to unlock all weapons. It was a lot of fun, but I unlocked all the weapons in about two days.
