Eight Hour Warsong Gulch Match

Eight Hour Warsong Gulch Match, originally uploaded by theuser.

I joined a match of Warsong Gulch around 11:10 PM last night. Somewhere
around 11:30 or 11:40, Koldstyle of Ner’zhul, the flag carrier, left the
battle. I don’t know if he meant to or if he got disconnected. Rather than
dropping, the flag simply disappeared. The game thought we had it, but no
one actually had it. We couldn’t cap, but neither could the Alliance. I
stayed in that match for eight hours. I talked with a lot of great people
too!

Three Weeks of Games

Whoops. Three weeks. A few weeks ago I was playing Hellgate London pretty heavily in an attempt to finish before the servers went down. I stopped when they announced they were keeping the game running. Sadly, they meant that they’d bring the game back, not that it would stay up; I didn’t finish, and my character’s gone. Oh well. I also played World of Warcraft a bit! I got to 58, so I’ll be able to check out Outland next time I quest. I’ve spent some time finding the Elders, managing to talk to all the ones in Kalimdor, including the one in Darnassus. It was a little tricky going through an Alliance capital but easier than I expected.
I tried Guilty Gear 2 Overture on 360 and was heavily disappointed. Luckily, I moved on to Naruto Clash of the Ninja Revolution and Guilty Gear XX ^ Core, both for the Wii. While they’re very different from each other, they were both very enjoyable fighting games.
I tried a little Platypus on PSP but grew bored of it pretty quickly. I also pushed forward a bit in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All as well as Professor Layton and the Curious Village. I put a little bit of time in Super Magnetic Neo for Dreamcast in my small gaps of free time. I beat my highscore in Pacman Championship Edition, and completed a few missions in Grand Theft Auto IV. Also, I’m one achievement away from unlocked the second Heavy weapon upgrade in Team Fortress 2. Just today I found a new game to play, TrackMania Nations Forever, which is very entertaining.
What’s been occupying the majority of my time is Dr. Mario! I’ve been playing it on an emulator on my PSP. It’s very addicting, and I’m starting to see falling pills when I space out. I guess it’s like the Tetris Effect, from which I’ve definitely suffered.
It sounds like I’ve been playing a lot, but it doesn’t really feel that way. I played a lot of different games but none for very long. A lot of these games were played three weeks ago, because I’ve been pretty busy with school these last two weeks. Most of the games I’ve played have been in very small time chunks while doing something else or while lying in bed.

Another Late Game Journal

It looks like I missed two weeks of Game Journal. But that’s okay, because I’m sure this isn’t even interesting to anyone!
I’ve put most of my at home gaming time into World of Warcraft and Grand Theft Auto IV. In GTA4 I managed to make it to the third island and am still enjoying it, although this past week or two I’ve been slacking in that game. In WoW we finally hit 55 and created Death Knights. The DK starting area is really cool. I enjoyed it a lot. I went herbalism/inscription on my Death Knight, so I’ve actually spend some time just running around collecting herbs. How sad! I gave up skinning on Devee to take enchanting. I’m a little sad about losing skinning, but my enchanting is now at 250-something, so that’s cool!
Lately I’ve been playing TapDefense and Warfare Incorporated quite a bit on my iPhone. It’s starting to replace my DS as my primary portable gaming device. It’s not that it’s a better gaming system; it’s definitely not. It’s just that it’s always with me, and my DS, now that I have some iPhone games, isn’t. I was also playing Space Deadbeef, a cool scrolling shooter, which I wrote about.
On the DS I’ve been trying to finish the bonus puzzles in Layton as well as play through Phoenix Wright: Justice for All.
And of course, I’ve been making an amazing tree in plantae!

Quite the Night

Early this evening, I was bitching that I didn’t think anything would get done tonight. It was already about 8 or 9 o’clock, and I had accomplished nothing. But that changed! First, William, gem and I completed the third homing beacon quest and got our Mechanical Chicken! I was pretty thrilled =D During the quest, a ?? Paladin killed me and chased gem, finally killing her. Then Calabrand, our guild’s 80, caught up with him. It was fun watching the fight! Calabrand won!
Next I finally got the courage to give up skinning! I’ll miss all the presents 🙁 I feel kind of bad about it. But I did pick up enchanting! It’s at 72 right now. There are a lot of mats for it though. Luckily Calabrand bought me an enchanting bag and a mining bag.
Lastly, on the zep on the way from Orgrimmar to Undercity, the zep from Undercity to Northrend went past me, and I managed to jump on top of it. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen, but then the game loaded in Northrend. I was still on top of the zep and was kind of stuck. I kept hitting jump and eventually was able to jump down. Sadly there wasn’t a lot for me to do there, so I just hearthed away. It sure was fun though!

Christmas Games

The title of this entry is misleading. I only played one Christmas game this week, the Loco Roco Christmas Demo. I run through it every Christmas, and it’s always enjoyable! Besides that, it’s been a weird week of game choices. I’ve been putting most of my time into Grand Theft Auto IV. I’ve played about 10 hours and am about 20% of the way into the game. It’s really enjoyable! Besides this game, I’ve opened gifts in World of Warcraft, played about 10 minutes of Sonic Chronicles, and played iPhone games. Warfare Incorporated was finally released for the iPhone recently. I loved that game on the Palm and have been enjoying playing it again. It’s a great RTS, and the iPhone version allows you to download new mission packs right from the game. There’s also a level editor available on PC. Another cool game I found was Space Deadbeef. It was created by Yuji Yasuhara, who has developed previous shmups. It’s short but very good!

I like to play games

It’s Thursday! That means it’s time for me to talk about games! Work got in the way quite a bit of playing! We’ve been PVPing a lot as usual. William, Antonio, and gemma all got the Ironman achievement for capturing the flag three times without dying. We’re still working on getting the achievement for me. Sonic Chronicles is still really fun! I’m in chapter six of ten. We also played Rock Band 2 because William wanted to play it! Okay, that’s about it!
