Conan acts like and seems to think that he’s cooler than he is. The guy’s a loser, dork, and lacks charisma. Granted, he’s funny sometimes in a stupid way. It’s a good thing he follows Leno.
On a somewhat related note, Jennifer Love Hewitt acts very cute. Unlike Conan, who acts cool but isn’t, her cuteness seems to fit her.

Midori no Hibi
I just watched the first episode of Midori no Hibi. It’s a very strange series. Sawamura is a tough guy and a high school student who loves fighting but always defends the weak and right. He’s never had a girl friend and has asked out twenty girls, getting rejected each time. One evening, while complaining about only having his right hand as a lover, he finds than in place of a right hand he now has a girl, Midori, on his arm. She claims to have loved him for years. At first Sawamura is frightened and angry, but he warms up to her.
Obviously, the show is comedic. It also seems like there’s going to be some romance between Sawamura and Midori, but I really hope not. Midori no Hibi might not be excellent, but it’s cute and very funny.
Counter-Strike
I hate Counter-Strike. For some reason, after talking about FPSs with Jaysen for a while, I decide to install it and try it. There’s a training mode so I went with that. After walking to a room, I’m instructed to walk to the hostage and have him follow me to a truck. Okay, I can do that. Then I’m told to walk down a corridor. Check. Then, I’m to buy an SMG and some Primary Ammo before entering the next room. I swear that I bought that shit, but it wouldn’t let me through. I must have spun around in that little room for five minutes before giving up. I bought the damn stuff, what more did it want? Fucking door wouldn’t open.
I hate Counter-Strike.
Hurry up Jaysen, get Q3:TA!
GunBound: Jewel

Okay idiots. See that pixelated picture above? That’s a jewel. If you’re playing GunBound and you see one of those, then you’re in a jewel game. The point of this mode is to kill the fucking jewels. It is not to hurt people on the opposing team. Hurting other people will not score you points. And don’t worry about hitting people on your team because that doesn’t matter. Now, if you get five points for hitting the jewel with a “5” above it and ten points for hitting the jewel with a “10” above it, what do you think you get for hitting the jewel with “-5” above it? Don’t this those fucking jewels. And yes, you should go for the twenty-five point ones when they appear.
Space Cadet
I just finished reading Robert Heinlein’s Space Cadet. I enjoyed reading it, but it was more entertainment than anything else. It definitely did not bring up the concepts that Stranger in a Strange Land did. The book follows Matt, a cadet in the Patrol. The Patrol is a military-like organization above the military in charge of keeping the peace. It is entrusted with the most powerful weapons in order to keep them from being used, because weapons of this strength cannot be trusted to the military. Heinlein’s portrayal of the future is fascinating. While there are some errors, he accurately describes many things and writes very little that is wrong.
Whatever
I had a dream that I was with my grandmother at a storage shed. It was filled with my grandfather’s luggage. And then I went to the beach with Gian and Cheryl. We were looking across a bay at the city on the other side, and it was very beautiful. We talked about swimming to the other side but decided not to. Then I was playing a first person shooter… but I was in it rather than on a computer. And finally, I went to some stretching/yoga/something class with Jaysen and I think Herbert.
o.O
GunBound, Azure Dreams, eSPXe
I started playing GunBound the other day. The game’s really addicting. Basically, you move little tanks, called mobiles) left and right, pick the angle to fire at, and decide on the strength of the shot. There are power-ups you can use, and as you earn money, you can buy new items for your avatar, which help you in battle. There are four game modes – Solo, Score, Tag, and Jewel. In all four modes, the game is played with two teams. In Solo, each player has one life. In Score, each team has 5 lives. In Tag, you can use multiple mobiles. In Jewel, you shoot at little “jewels” rather than enemy mobiles. I prefer Jewel because many low level people get confused and don’t know how to play. One can really rack up GP in Jewel mode if one understands the mode.
GunBound seems to be filled with immature people. I know every game is, but this game is filled even more than others. I guess this is due to the ease of learning to play.
I’ve only started playing Azure Dreams again. I’m glad the ePSXe runs so well. It’s like having my Playstation working again… only better because it’s my computer. I plan on trying to get through Thousand Arms again, too. Hopefully this time I won’t get tired of them. And if I do, it’s easier to keep save files.
Propaganda Removal Along Korean DMZ
Loudspeakers, billboards, and other propaganda are being removed from the Korean DMZ by both sides. This action was decided upon recently at military talks to lower tension between the two Koreas. They plan to remove all the propaganda devices by August 15 of this year.
I still wouldn’t want to live in the ROK, lol, but it’s still another small step in the right direction.

Inuyasha 2
Now they’re going after shards of Shikon no Tama.
I’m still not happy with the series.

What the hell?
First, Kippei kisses Kokoro, which I like. But then he starts feeling her up. I think it’s a little soon for that, especially at school. Then, when asked if she loves Kippei, Kokoro responds, “not at all.” What kind of answer is that? Maybe it’s not love, but she doesn’t have to be so blunt about it. With being late to pick Yuzuyu and sleeping in, forgetting to make her lunch, Yuzuyu realizes that she’s in Kippei’s way and that Kippei wants to be with Kokoro, so she decides to walk home on her own. Poor Kippei’s just hurt and confused by Kokoro and trying to fix things with Yuzuyu.
And Matthew, of Matthew’s Anime Blog, was right in his entry last week about Marika-chan being jealous. God was she jealous, and she’s only five!
I still really like this show. I hope Kippei fixes thing with Yuzuyu-chan soon though. The drama of the Kokoro sub-plot is good and adds to the show, but there’s still a part of me that just wants Kippei to be happy with her ^^;
