After dinner earlier this week, look what I found in the parking lot. On the base of a lamppost in the parking lot was a cage with five hamsters. They were adorable. I watched them for a couple minutes, unsure of what to do.
I didn’t really want to just leave them, but what would I do with hamsters? Plus, what if it was an accident and there was a family rushing back to the parking lot while I stood there? In the end, I didn’t do anything. I sure hope they’re okay though.
gem named them Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe, and Tiger.

Did you return and were they still there? Why would anyone bring hamsters to the park in the first place, and forget them? If to give them away, why not a sign: “Please take care of my hamsters” or something like it? If to exercise, why was the cage closed? IMHO these were left in the expectation that someone might pick them up, by someone who was not the direct owner (like a parent who said these hamsters are multiplying too fast, or who was moving their family to smaller digs and couldn’t face a more responsible solution).
We didn’t see them there again. I hope they were taken home by someone.
