In this chapter, Joseph explains his ideal woman. He says that this is not a standard he compares every woman to; it is only an ideal. He says that most persons want their children to have their own traits. To get these traits, a person would need to mate with a similar person. He states the races he’d prefer, from most ideal to least ideal, are Apache, other Indian races (Navajo, Sioux… Cherokee), Hispanics (Peruvians… Mexicans), certain Asians (Filipinos, some types of Japanese, Chinese), non-white Europeans (black Irish, Portugese), other Asians, sub-Saharan Africans (lightest to darkest), and finally, Aryans (WASPs). His ideal woman would be his height with black hair, brown eyes, reddish brown skin, wide hips, and large breasts. He’d prefer slightly overweight to underweight. He’d prefer a devout Catholic but would also be happy with a liberal Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Jew, or a Hindu. She should be liberal and definitely not extreme in either political direction.
I think this chapter very clearly defines his ideal woman in many traits. He begins by saying that most men would like a woman who is similar to himself, and from his description of the ideal, this is true. His ideal woman is very clearly sharing many of his own characteristics (of course, not the large breasts part). Joseph mentions that it’s odd that She doesn’t fit many of these categories. I find it odd too, and perhaps it’ll be further explained in later chaptors. I’d like to see more about his ideal in other aspects though. What kind of personality? How educated? What hobbies or interests? Hard working or stay at home? Follows all the rules or likes to get wild once in a while? Despite wanting to see more, this chapter can give one a very clear idea of who Joseph would and wouldn’t want to be with.
Update: Joseph says that his ideal woman would be able to intelligently hold a conversation with him. She should be moderately knowledgeable in history and politics, and he’d prefer her to be better in the fields he is lacking in. He does not have an ideal hobby, interest, or personality for her.

Tuesday with Gemma, Dad
Gemma came over Tuesday, and we watched Attack of the Clones at my place. Afterwards we went to the Spectrum. We ate a restaurant called Maki Maki. She had chilean sea bass, I had tempura, and we split a platter of sashimi. Very, very tasty. Then walked around a bit, tried the love sacks (big bean bags), and went on the ferris wheel. She had never been on one! It was a lot of fun 🙂
Today my dad was gonna come over. He called me in the morning to say that he couldn’t today but maybe tomorrow. Around one I got a few calls, but I was still sleeping so I rejected them, not recognizing the number. It turned out that he decided to drive here anyways and was calling from a pay phone. The car overheated on the way back so he won’t be coming tomorrow. I wish he hadn’t have done that today.
Knights of the Old Republic
KOTOR 2 is out, and I’m just finishing KOTOR 1. Anyways, it’s a great game. I found the plot a little slow at the beginning, but it definitely picks up. There were times that I thought the plot was flawed, but I later realized that it was intentional and fine. The gameplay’s excellent. There are a lot of unneeded characters though. Also, I never needed to purchase any equipment. I did play it on normal though, so perhaps I’d need to in hard mode. I enjoyed it far more that any other BioWare game. If I get the chance, I’d like to go back and replay it on the dark side. I recommend playing the game if you’re a Star Wars fan or a fan of D20-based computer games.
Gemma, Star Wars, Spring Break
Spring break is finally here! So far, Gemma and I watched The Empire Strikes Back (we watched A New Hope before break started), Return of the Jedi, and The Phantom Menace. We’re gonna watch Attack of the Clones today. I’ve been wanting to rewatch all the movies before Revenge of the Sith comes out. I’ve been playing Knights of the Old Republic a lot too. Great game. I know it’s old, but I’ll write more about it later. I spent $40 at Red Lobster with Adam on Sunday. Tasty tasty. I love lobster. Jon Cairns came by yesterday. He locked himself out and threw rocks at Julie’s window to get back in. He had to call Duty Line to unlock his door. I hung out with Julie and Mitch some and then talked to Jon for a while.
Gemma went home on Saturday, but yesterday (Monday), she came back look for an apartment. She stopped by, and we went to Michael’s, Carl’s Jr., and then hung out here. It’s fun to do nothing with her. She’s coming over today (Tuesday) too. We’re gonna watch Attack of the Clones and probably see a movie (Hitch?). I also hope to finish KOTOR, but I don’t know if it’s gonna happen. Wednesday it looks like I’m going to Disneyland with Linh-Nam and Christine. Thursday my dad’s gonna try to visit. Friday I’m hopefully gonna be hanging out with the shindig crew (if I had written that in 1337 it would have been like orgasmic). Okay, time for sleep.
Super Mario Pac
Super Mario Pac is a little PC game made by hermitgames. The graphics are basically from Super Mario World. You have to build a pipe to get out of each level by touching on the piece and then flying over the right spot. You have a FLUDD, the water pack from Super Mario Sunshine, and that’s what you use to shoot enemies and fly around. Fun game! Find it here!
Dan! Da! Dan
Dan! Da! Dan! in a pretty fun vertical shooter. You can find it at http://nagoya.cool.ne.jp/o_mega/product/ddd.html. The site’s not in English, but it’s not hard to figure out.
Last Weekend, Alex, Etc
Alex came over last Wednesday and stayed until Saturday. It was good to see him again… it had been a while. Amazing how many people I used to know that I don’t get to anymore. We had fun though. A bunch of us played Cranium one night. It was me, Gem, Jon, and Gabby against Alex, Patrick, Vince, and Kim. We won, and it was a lot of fun. Afterwards we just played around doing cards or improv games. It was cool 🙂 I tried playing LOTR Risk with Alex and Andy but we gave up. One night we did some drinking. Later I was a fairy. Make up. Wings. I don’t know. I’ll post pictures as soon as I get them from Alex. And… yeah! Fun times!
