Otaku

I dedicate this entry to Herbert.
Here is an excerpt from a Gaia Online post titled “Examination of American otaku 18.0 Types X,Y,&Z added.”
Type I . . . The Stalker. This type is less focused on animated series and comics than he/she is focused on actors/actresses/singers. Do you know your favorite singer’s birthday? The Stalker knows. Do you know where your favorite actor attended high school? The Stalker knows. Do you know what made your favorite actress decide to become an actress? The Stalker knows. Meeting Online Acquaintances

I found a post on Gaia Online titled “Making Gaia Badges to wear to Cons ~ FAQ’s *updated*” that discussed making name tags for the upcoming Anime Expo. The badges would have one’s Gaia name and avatar on them for locating other Gaia Online users. The following is a screen shot of part of the thread.

Gable House Get-Together

I’m planning to have another Gable House Get-Together sometime next week. For those who didn’t go to the first get-together, we pretty much played 2 games there and went to dinner afterwards, although it didn’t happen in that order last time. It’s most likely going to happen next Tuesday, or not. Other possibilities are Friday and Saturday. As soon as we have enough people to do something, we’re going to do it, and anyone showing up late can catch up with us. Please call me when you’re near (5-15 minutes before coming) to determine exactly where we are since plans do change.
Anyways, if you’re interested on coming to the next get-together, IM me for details.

Conan O’Brien

Conan acts like and seems to think that he’s cooler than he is. The guy’s a loser, dork, and lacks charisma. Granted, he’s funny sometimes in a stupid way. It’s a good thing he follows Leno.
On a somewhat related note, Jennifer Love Hewitt acts very cute. Unlike Conan, who acts cool but isn’t, her cuteness seems to fit her.
